Toasted sandwich, anyone?
Except they're not. They're COOKIES!
However, the presentation was irresistible and I had to buy them just to make a photograph.
They're filled with almond-paste. The Dutch have numerous cookies and cakes filled with almond paste, in different shapes for different seasons.
I guess that means March must be Sandwich season.

It is typical holiday food, and since it is close to easter, you are seeing more and more of it in the stores now. :-)
