Paul and I bought ourselves one of these cute gadgets for our anniversary on 7 May.

It's called a Beertender.

You can get barrels of various beers to go inside it. The barrels hold 4 litres - the equivalent of about a dozen bottles, I guess. And once opened, it stays fresh for 28 days.

The Beertender keeps the beer chilled, and delivers beer on tap at home.

Sigh. It's so civilised to sit out on the patio with a glass of draft on these long summer evenings.

It just goes to show there are advantages to living in the Netherlands.
